Someone strapping on a pair of skates on a Barcelona street

Skate there. Walk in.

Your own shoes, with something extra. Nothing to carry, nothing to change into. Getting there becomes the part you look forward to.

Every pair is built for one person, by one person.

Handmade

One person builds every pair, in a workshop in Barcelona.

Local products

Wood, leather and hardware, all bought in the city.

Robust design

Solid on the foot. Hundreds of kilometres and nothing broken yet.

Built to last

Every part that wears out or breaks can be swapped.

Made for you

Built to your measurements and finished the way you want it.

Not a skate. A way of getting around.

Questions worth asking first.

Does it work with any shoe?

Yes, with a few conditions. What decides it is the wooden deck: your shoe has to sit inside it, so we check the length of your shoe against the deck before anything is cut. Within that, almost anything goes.

Two things are worth knowing. A very soft, spongy sole absorbs your input and dulls how the skate responds, so a firmer sole works noticeably better. And a high-top holds your ankle, which helps if you skate in a way that asks for it. Neither is a requirement.

What does not work: heels, cowboy boots and anything with a shaped or raised sole that cannot sit flat.

Do I have to modify my shoes?

No. Nothing is glued, clipped or screwed to your footwear. The shoe goes in and comes out exactly as it was, which is not true of every system that does this.

What size do I order?

Your European shoe size. Every pair is built to that size rather than to a range, so the fit is exact. If you are between sizes or unsure, choose Not sure yet and we work it out before anything is cut.

Can I keep my own trucks and wheels?

Yes. The Upper is the top half on its own, for mounting on hardware you already have. The Conversion is the same thing, except you send us the skates you ride now and we fit it for you.

Where can I actually use them?

They are set up for the street. Deck, trucks, wheels and bearings are chosen for city surfaces and real distance, not for a skatepark floor.

They have covered hundreds of kilometres, and taken jumps and wall rides, without failing.

Can I try a pair before I order?

In Barcelona, yes. There are demo pairs, and the easiest place to use one is the Friday quad ride: ask a few days ahead, tell us your size, and the pair travels to the meeting point. You skate in your own shoes and decide from there.

The ride itself is an independent quad club, not a Naglitule event. You are welcome on it whatever you skate, and nobody expects you to buy anything.

What happens if something breaks?

It gets replaced. Every part that wears out or can break is meant to be swapped, so a pair gets repaired instead of retired.

Naglitule is one person in Barcelona. The leather is laser-cut and stitched on an old manual machine, the heel and side stops are 3D-printed, and the deck is shaped and sanded in the workshop. Every pair is built to order, which is why lead times are real and not marketing.

It started as a question about how we get around a city, not as a skate brand. The answer happened to have wheels.

Fridays belong to the quad club.

Every Friday an independent quad club rolls across Barcelona — anything from an easy loop to thirty kilometres on rough ground. Naglis skates it like everyone else: it is not a Naglitule ride, and nobody there asks what you have on your feet.

Any quads are welcome, and most people on it do not own a pair of these. That is the point, and that is how it should stay.

What Naglitule brings

A pair you can try, on the ride.

If you are in Barcelona and want to know how these actually feel, ask for a demo pair before Friday and Naglis brings it along. You skate the city in your own shoes, on our uppers, next to people who ride them every week. It is the only honest way to answer the question.

Ask a few days ahead, and tell us your size

Tell us what you have in mind.

One person reads these. Expect a real answer, not an autoresponder.

Faster

The quickest way to get an answer, and the easiest way to send photos of the skates or shoes you ride now.
